Terms of Service

Axen is built and operated by Invntio (Company legal name/entity type, country of incorporation — confirm, referred to here as "Invntio", "we", or "us"). These Terms govern your use of the Axen iOS app and the getaxen.com website (together, "Axen" or "the Service"). Read them — they're short on purpose.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Axen app, or by using getaxen.com, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

If you're using Axen on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms for them.

2. What Axen Is

Axen is a native iOS app for building and running personal workout routines. It handles sets, reps, rest timers, RPE tracking, workout history, and progress over time. It includes optional AI-assisted routine generation ("Coach") that runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Foundation Models, and Live Activities that show workout progress in the Dynamic Island and on your Lock Screen.

getaxen.com is our marketing site. It describes the app, lists plans, and — before launch — lets you reserve a founding price by leaving your email.

Axen has no user accounts. There's no login, no password, no server-side profile. Your workout data lives on your device and, if you enable it, syncs through your own personal iCloud account. We don't operate a backend that stores your routines or history. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

We may change, add, or remove features over time. We'll try not to break things you rely on, but we don't guarantee that any specific feature will exist forever.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Axen offers a free tier (Axen Free) and paid tiers (Axen Pro, Axen Lifetime).

All payments are processed by Apple. Purchases are made through your App Store account. We use RevenueCat as our subscription-management layer to determine what you have access to. Invntio never sees, handles, or stores your credit card or payment details — Apple does.

• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your App Store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
• Cancellation. You cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS). We can't cancel a subscription on your behalf — Apple controls that.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy. We can't issue refunds directly, but if something went wrong, email us at hello@getaxen.com and we'll do what we can to help you with Apple.
• Price changes. If we change prices, existing subscribers are notified in advance per App Store rules, and any change applies to future billing periods only.
• Lifetime. Axen Lifetime is a one-time purchase granting access for the operational lifetime of the app. It isn't a promise that the app will run forever, and it doesn't cover a different product if we ever ship one.

Early access and founding prices

Before the app launches, getaxen.com lets you reserve a founding price by submitting your email and selecting a plan. To be explicit:

• No charge is collected at reservation time. No payment method is requested, and none is stored.
• A reservation is not a purchase, a contract, or a guarantee of availability. It's a place in line and a price we intend to honor when the app launches.
• We'll email you when the app is available. At that point, you decide whether to buy, through the App Store, under the terms above.
• If the app doesn't launch, or if we discontinue the program, your reservation simply lapses. Nothing is owed in either direction.

4. Acceptable Use

Use Axen for its intended purpose. Don't:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where that right can't be waived by law.
• Circumvent subscription checks, entitlement validation, or paywalls.
• Use automated systems to scrape, overload, or interfere with getaxen.com.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or its content.
• Use Axen to break the law, or in a way that harms others.

5. Intellectual Property

Axen — the app, its design system, name, logo, written content, and the getaxen.com site — belongs to Invntio and is protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control. Nothing more transfers to you.

Your data is yours. Routines you create, workout history, notes, and anything generated for you by Coach on your device belong to you. We claim no ownership over them, and we don't have a copy of them.

6. Health and Fitness Disclaimer

Read this part carefully.

Axen is a fitness tracking and planning tool. It is not a medical device, a medical service, or a substitute for professional advice. Invntio is not your doctor, physical therapist, or certified trainer, and nothing in the app — including routines generated by Coach — constitutes medical advice or a personalized training prescription.

• Consult a physician before beginning any new exercise program, especially if you have an existing condition, injury, or are pregnant.
• Exercise carries inherent risk of injury. You participate at your own risk.
• Stop immediately and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other warning sign.
• AI-generated routines are suggestions produced by an on-device model. They can be wrong, poorly suited to you, or unsafe for your situation. Use judgment. You are responsible for what you actually do in the gym.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Back up what matters. iCloud sync depends on Apple's infrastructure and your own account settings — it is outside our control, and we are not responsible for sync failures, data loss, or data corruption originating from iCloud, iOS, or your device.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Invntio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or personal injury arising from your use of Axen.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Axen in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions. In those places, these limits apply only to the extent permitted.

9. Termination

You can stop using Axen at any time by deleting the app. Your subscription continues until you cancel it through Apple.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms — for example, by circumventing paywalls or interfering with the site. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) do.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Axen evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email if you've given us one. Continuing to use Axen after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Governing law / jurisdiction — confirm, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
